Turkish dentist prices, in pounds

People who ask what dental work in Turkey costs usually want two numbers: the price of the treatment and the price of the whole trip. This page gives you the first one exactly, for our clinic only, and helps you work out the second. Every figure is the price we charge at Precious Dental in Antalya. We do not show "from" prices that turn into something else when you arrive.

Our price list

Some treatments are not on the list, such as root canal treatment, gum treatment or dentures. They vary too much from mouth to mouth for one figure to be honest, so they are priced in your written plan once a dentist has seen your photos or X-ray.

How our prices sit next to UK private fees

A Turkish dentist can charge less mainly because running a clinic in Antalya costs less than running one in London, Leeds or Glasgow. The implant brands are the same ones UK dentists use. The table below sets our prices beside published UK figures, with the source shown.

UK fees vary a great deal between practices and regions, so treat the UK column as a guide rather than a quote. NHS charges in England are set in fixed bands, but implants are rarely available on the NHS, and cosmetic work such as veneers normally is not.

Worked examples

These examples use our list prices. They are illustrations, not diagnoses. Your own plan may differ once a dentist has seen your mouth.

One missing back tooth

The usual answer is a single implant (£300) carrying a zirconia crown (£150). Together that is £450. It takes two trips: four hotel nights when the implant goes in, then five nights a few months later when the crown is fitted. Hotel and transfers on both trips sit inside that figure. Your flights do not.

Two implants where the bone is thin

Two implants are 2 x £300, plus a zirconia crown on each at £150. If the 3D scan shows the bone needs building up, bone graft material is added at £150 per 1cc. The dentist cannot know how many cc you need until the scan, which is why this line is only confirmed at the clinic. In the upper back jaw a sinus lift may be needed instead, at £350 per procedure.

A full set of zirconia crowns

For patients who want "Turkish teeth" on their own teeth, a set of 24 zirconia crowns is £3,600. This is one trip with five hotel nights. We will tell you honestly if some of your teeth do not need a crown at all. Fewer crowns means a lower bill, and it also means keeping more of your own tooth. Fixed teeth on implants in both jaws

All-on-4 is £6,000 and All-on-6 is £6,500, each for upper and lower together. Both include the implants, the titanium bars, temporary teeth, the final zirconia teeth, free extractions, X-rays, medication, hotel nights (four, then five) and transfers. If the upper jaw has too little bone for standard implants, the dentist may suggest zygomatic implants at £2,000 each, and you would see that on the plan before deciding.

Changing the front teeth only

An E-max laminate veneer is £300 per tooth, an E-max crown £225 per tooth and composite bonding £125 per tooth. Many people come in asking for eight or ten veneers and leave with a plan for fewer, or for bonding, because their teeth did not need more. See veneers for how we decide.

What our packages include

• Pick-up at Antalya Airport, the drop-off when you leave, and the drive between your hotel and the clinic for each appointment
• Hotel nights: four on the first implant trip, five on the second, and five on a zirconia crown trip
• X-rays, as listed on your plan
• Extractions of teeth that cannot be kept, free of charge
• Medication and local anaesthetic for the treatment on your plan
• Temporary teeth where your plan needs them, so you are not left with gaps
• An implant passport and copies of your X-rays and scans to take home
• An English-speaking coordinator on WhatsApp before, during and after your visit

What is never included

Flights are never part of our price. You book them yourself, which means you pick the airport, the airline and the date. The other costs that stay with you are travel insurance, food and drink, taxis you take for sightseeing, and anything you buy in Antalya. If a partner or friend travels with you, ask your coordinator about sharing the room before you book.

Sedation is available for surgery. It is not part of the list prices above, so if you want it, it is priced in your written plan.

How your price is fixed

Your first price comes from photos or an X-ray you send from home. It is a careful estimate, and for most people it does not change much. The final price is set on your first day at the clinic, after the dentist has examined you and taken a 3D scan.

1. Photos or X-ray. You send them on WhatsApp or through the contact form.
2. Written plan. A dentist writes an itemised plan: each tooth, each material, the implant brand, the trips and the hotel nights, with a price next to every line.
3. 3D scan in Antalya. The scan shows bone, nerves and sinuses that a flat X-ray cannot. The dentist checks the plan against it.
4. Final written price. If anything has changed, you are shown why and what it costs before any treatment starts. You agree, or you do not.

The things most likely to move a price are bone (a graft or sinus lift), a tooth that looked sound on the photo but is too weak to keep, or your own decision to have more or fewer teeth treated. The price can go down as well as up.

Paying

You do not pay to receive a plan. Your coordinator explains how payment works for your visit and which methods are accepted before you book anything. You pay for the treatment you have agreed in writing, not for a package you have not seen.
